The Challenge
The Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project involves construction and operation of a metro rail line, approx. 23 kilometres in length, between the T1 Western Line at St Marys in the north through to the new Western Sydney International Airport and the Aerotropolis Core in the south.

Brisbane Move, specifically the Adelaide Street tunnel, is a key part of the Brisbane Metro project for the Brisbane City Council. A joint venture partnership led by construction company Acciona, the new 213 m tunnel built in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, will provide a dedicated connection between the Inner Northern Busway and Southeast for metro and bus services.
The Challenge
The project required high-capacity tanks for staging submersible pumps to manage water removal during tunnel construction. Due to strict project timelines, tanks had to be supplied with a rapid turnaround following contract award, creating logistical and supply chain challenges to meet both capacity and durability requirements.

City Rail Link is the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand and includes construction of twin 3.45 km rail tunnels up to 42 m under the Auckland CBD.
Aquatic Engineering was engaged to design and construct a water treatment plant (WTP) for the Mercury Lane site, treating ground and construction water for discharge to stormwater. The WTP had it be designed to fit under a mezzanine and around columns of the site acoustic shed.
